Excellent product to develop fine motor skills and coordination by using the tongs to pick up felt balls and arrange on the corresponding colour on the board.
Ideal activity for people who are rehabilitating following injury or stroke, or children to learn colours, develop fine motor skills and coordination.
How to use as a rehabilitation activity or for a person with dementia: Using the tongs, show the person how to pick up a felt ball and place it in the corresponding coloured area on the board. Then ask the participant if they would like to try to do the same. If they are happy to do so, encourage them to continue the activity for as long as they are happy to do so or until complete.
The objective of this or any activity is for the person to be content and comfortable engaging in the activity in which ever way they are comfortable to do so. Do NOT correct the person if they don’t follow as instructed. Simply encourage their participation.
