Muffin Tray Fine Motor Skill Activity
Muffin Tray Fine Motor Skill Activity
Excellent activity to develop fine motor skills, coordination and rehabilitation following injury or stroke by using the tongs to pick up the balls from the open container and moving them to the muffin pan.
How to use as a rehabilitation activity or for a person with dementia: Using the tongs, show the person how to pick up a ball and place it in the muffin pan. Then ask the participant if they would like to try to do the same. If they are happy to do so, encourage them to continue the activity for as long as they are happy to do so or until complete.
The objective of this or any activity is for the person to be content and comfortable engaging in the activity in which ever way they are comfortable to do so. Do NOT correct the person if they don’t follow as instructed. Simply encourage their participation.
